The Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House is from 1957 by the danish architect Jørn Utzon. The drawings and analysis of this theater/music place is to boot the design studio 4.
Walking down the Royal Botanic Gardens you get a beautiful view of the Opera House with the Harbour Bridge in the back. These are the two main icons of Sydney and Australia as a nation. Following the harbour all around the Opera House, it is expected to pass the entry along the road. Though, the entry is hidding at the buildings only facade turning away from the harbour. As a turist coming from City center and Cirkular Quay, your first view of the Opera House is the beautiful shelves with the white bricks reflecting the sun.

Entrance with stairs and two balconies/view points.
The center of the building allows visitors into the information, buying souvenirs or entering the lobby.
Entering the building you first see the information point and souvenir shop. It is dark and you feel protected by the heave roof of concrete and the cold stone bricks covering both floor and walls. From the information there are stairs down to the street or up to the lobby. In the lobby you feel overwhelmed with light from the enormous windowpanels and the naked concrete structure carrying the roof stands raw.
